Meticulously crafted for golfers, the Pro X2 is a stellar addition to Bushnell’s renowned lineup, boasting advanced features that elevate your ability to measure distances accurately on the course.

Join me as we delve into a review of the new state-of-the-art Bushnell Golf Rangefinder (PRO X2). Get ready to discover why it’s not just a rangefinder; it’s a precision instrument designed to enhance your golfing experience.

Features

Bushnell Slope Switch Technology

With the flick of a switch, the Slope Switch Technology can be used to measure distances for both uphill and downhill lies.

The Switch means that the device is now USGA Conforming and can be used in tournament play with the flick of a switch.

Using the slope switch is not allowed during professional golf tournament play, but is very handy for club selection during practice rounds and knowing distances for elevated and uphill slopes.

Slope mode takes into account the slope or elevation changes on the course. This mode adjusts the distance measurements to provide the “playing” distance, factoring in uphill or downhill shots.

Bushnell Golf Rangefinder Pro X2

Bushnell Rubber Metal Housing

Don’t worry if you drop the Bushnell Pro X2 because it won’t damage it. The Rubber metal housing is fully waterproof and built very strong and rigid for even the most clumsy of golfers.

The Pro X2 is built to withstand the rigors of golf course use. It features a rugged, waterproof construction, making it suitable for use in various weather conditions. It is also designed to be fog-proof, ensuring clear visibility even in misty or humid conditions.

Bushnell Pinseeker with Jolt Technology

This feature is what separates this Bushnell Pro X2 rangefinder from some of its competitors.

The Pro X2 features Bushnell’s PinSeeker technology, which helps golfers lock onto the flag quickly and accurately. When the rangefinder identifies the target, it provides a tactile “JOLT” vibration to confirm target acquisition, giving golfers extra confidence in their distance measurements.

The golf rangefinder will jolt or vibrate if it has been targeted correctly onto the flag. Remove all doubt and stop lining up those damn trees behind the flag. If the golfer is lined up correctly the device will vibrate twice.

450+ Range to a Flag

The range of one of the best golf rangefinders is very impressive. A golfer can line up a flag from up to 450 yards out. Handy if you’re the kind of golfer that likes to wait for the green to clear 😉

Bushnell Dual Display Technology

This is exclusive to the PRO X2 model and allows the golfer to toggle between a light red vivid display or a sharp black display with a flick of the mode button.

The Bushnell Pro X2 Laser Rangefinder also features 6x Magnification for more accuracy and Stable Grip Technology which makes it very comfortable in the hands.

Conclusion

If you are in the market for a new Rangefinder and are after reliability, the Bushnell Pro X2 Rangefinder is the best option.

Being able to figure out yardages with the Slope Switch is a fantastic feature and makes it easier for club selection. For all those serious players out there just make sure you switch it off for tournament play.

The Rubber metal housing is fantastic for all those golfers that get a little careless at times. It is very durable and should last you for an extended period and is well regarded as the best golf rangefinder on the current market.

Choose between a red and black display, based on conditions and personal preference. Golfers can also use this one for rainy days as the Pro X2 is also waterproof.

The Bushnell Pro X2 Rangefinder is a popular choice among golfers who value accuracy, advanced features, and durability. Its combination of PinSeeker with JOLT Technology, Slope mode, dual display, and rugged design make it a reliable tool for measuring distances on the golf course.

If you don’t quite like the rangefinder and maybe prefer a golf gps have a look at a review on one of the better golf gps devices on the market.

A gps golf watch is also handy and an easy way to get distances out on the golf course. Have a look at our post on one of the better golf gps watch devices.

  1. I love to use these Rangefinders. Even so, I don´t play much golf it made me feel more comfortable when I do. And I have given them to people as a birthday gift.
    But I have two questions.
I have heard a lot of the Slope-Switch Technology, is it confusing to use?
Is this thing legal in tournaments or do I need to use it only in training?

      I appreciate your comments.

The Slope-Switch technology measures the precise distance for elevation change and is very easy to use with the flick of a switch. Unfortunaly the Slope readings are not allowed during tournament play, but can easily be toggled on or off. The Bushnell Pro X2 is definitely one of the best Rangefinders on the market.

  2. Hi Chris,
I do not play much golf, but my husband does and this looks like a great gift idea. It has all the bells and whistles that a serious golfer could ever want, and the compact design is great too. Can this switch between yards and meters? Is the battery a rechargeable one, and if not are they expensive to replace?

Yes, the Bushnell Pro X2 Rangefinder would be a great gift idea for all those semi serious golfers. It can easily be changed from yards to metres. It takes a small CR2 Lithium battery and is easily replaceable and not very expensive.

  3. Chris,
Great review. I have a bushnell tour 3v and it has been great for me. I bought it for a charity golf tournament where I caddied for Jordan Spieth. I went a day before and did a lot of measuring.
I have been using it for myself since and love it. Problem is, I dropped it into a pond and it lost its slope measurements for some reason.
The video in your review sold me and I bought it. Thanks for having the link with savings.
Thanks again for the information, Love your site and I am watching one of your training video’s now.

  5. Wow! This sure does look like high-tech military-grade equipment. I wonder if you could comment on its durability. I would be afraid that it might need to be kept in a padded case to keep it safe. Is there any sort of recalibration that is required from time to time? Thank you!

      I appreciate your comments.

The Bushnell Pro X2 Golf Rangefinder features Rubber Metal housing, which means it is very durable. It also does come with a case when it is not being used. No need for any type of recalibration with the Pro X2. A new CR2 Lithium battery will eventually be needed as they don’t last forever.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  8. holy moly, this bushnell golf rangefinder is amazing. Gosh, I wish I had found this a long time ago. Actually, my dad could definitely have done with this one. I used to walk around the course with him as a kid and I heard plenty of thumb-sucking numbers when it came to distances to pin. This definitely takes the guess work out. Now I just need to perfect my stroke so the ball travels the distance calculated rather than it’s own distance and course 😉

  10. I just recently got into golf, and to be honest I didn’t know these devices even existed. I can see how this data could be very helpful indeed! Is that slope measurement telling you what you should swing for, or what slope the hill is?

Would you recommend a similar device at a more affordable price?

    Excellent review

The Slope measurement will measure exactly how far a golfer is from the flag, taking into account the elevation change.

The Bushnell Pro X2 Model is definitely one of the best, however Bushnell do have some more affordable Rangefinders available.

  12. Hi Chris, I see that you love the greatest game ever played. I like bushnell products, used many rangefinders and would recommend it. Accurate yardage is key in hitting greens in regulation,
I like how easy it is to navigate the site.
Your reviews hit the nail on the head. Taylormade always lead the tour in Drivers and Callaway is trying to grab some of that market. The epic driver may help.

Now with this product it is very easy. I’ve heard about range finders but never used one. I appreciate this now I don’t have to walk off every distance from the pin. Thanks so much I will put it on my Christmas list.

  14. Hey Chris!

Awesome article. You know, I have golfed various times and never knew these even existed haha. Goes to show how “non-professional” I am.

What are your personal thoughts on these? Do you think it gives people an advantage and could be taken as cheating?

I mean, back in the day, they would not have had these. Do you think golfers today have a better chance with the use of the range finder?

    Take it easy Chris!

    • Hi Michael

I personally use a Rangefinder and find it really helps with clubs selection, because I know how far I hit my irons when they are struck well. The Bushnell Pro X2 is one of the best on the market.

These are legal for Amatuers to use in competitions, which can help with pace of play. They are not legal to use for professionals in golf tournaments though. This is where a good caddy will come in handy.

      I appreciate your comments.

    Does it convert to metres?

  16. It is nice to have a range finder on the golf course, as a lot of them are failing to put out markers. Perhaps they believe that with this technology it is not important.

However, average golfers can have problems identifying distance. I am one of these people that like the green to clear even if it is a 1-100 shot that I will hit up on people from 270 yards out!

I’m sure hardcore golfers will also appreciate that this finder is waterproof.
